Interior Features and Technology
The 2021 GMC Sierra 1500’s interior is one of the most spacious and comfortable thanks to its class-leading front head and legroom. There’s room for up to five inside of the truck’s sound-absorbing cabin. We recommend maxing out your comfort with one of the leather upholstery packages. In addition to finer materials, owners of the Sierra 1500 will be able to add available in and under-seat storage options to maximize interior functionality.
The GMC Sierra also features available wireless charging for phones and a crisp available 7-speaker Bose sound system. Specifically designed with the driver in mind, the Sierra 1500 also has an available class-leading 15″ diagonal head-up display making it easy to keep your eyes on the road while monitoring your truck’s information.
The 2021 GMC Sierra 1500 is a bold, sleek masterpiece of a truck. In addition to a tough and sturdy look, the exterior of the Sierra 1500 brings along loads of functionality. For starters, the GMC Sierra 1500 has more cargo bed volume than any competitor on the market, allowing you to load in more supplies and materials than ever before. The Sierra also features the first available carbon-fiber composite truck bed, as well as an available six-function multi-pro tailgate, the first of its kind. With the multiple color and tire options available, the 2021 GMC Sierra is one of the most versatile and customizable trucks on the market.
The customizability continues into the engine department with an impressive five powertrain options. The standard powertrain is GMC’s capable 285 horsepower 305 lb.-ft. of torque 4.3L V6. There’s also a 2.7L Turbo engine with an impressive 310 horsepower and 348 lb.-ft. of torque. But wait, it gets better! The third available powertrain is GMC’s 5.3L EcoTec3 V8 that has 355 horsepower and 383 lb.-ft. of torque. Next is the Duramax 3.0L Turbo-Diesel engine with a lower horsepower of 277 but a jaw-dropping 460 lb.-ft. of torque.
The fifth and final powertrain option is a 6.2L EcoTec3 V8 that maximizes horsepower at 420 ponies while also offering 460 lb.-ft. of torque. When properly equipped, the GMC Sierra 1500 is capable of towing up to 11,800lbs and can handle a max payload of 2,180lbs. The most fuel-efficient engine, the Turbo-Diesel maxes out the truck’s fuel economy at an EPA estimated 23 MPG in the city and 30 MPG on the highway.
